About Me

I’m Miera

Raw, rebellious, and deeply real - Miera isn’t here to play it safe. She’s here to say what others are too afraid to.

Born and raised in South Australia, Miera is the sound of emotional truth wrapped in gritty pop-punk hooks and 90s nostalgia. There really is no match for an artist with something to say. Miera's sound resides somewhere between heartache and rebellion, drawing from the vulnerability of early 2000s emo, the energy of pop punk, and the poetic edge of artists like Avril Lavigne, Killing Heidi, and Taylor Acorn.  She writes from a place of lived experience, trauma, healing, and identity. Every song is a reminder that you're not alone in the chaos. It is Miera's keen sense of giving that’s at the core of what makes her work what it is. Combining songwriting skills with her my committed advocacy of wellbeing and self-expression, she blends anthemic guitars with gut-punch lyrics that speak to the misfits, the feelers, and the ones still learning how to stay soft in a hard world.

After years in Melbourne’s underground scene, Miera has returned home with a sharpened pen and a louder voice. Her debut album, Orphaned Parts is a love letter to the fractured self, each track a battle cry for healing, identity, and self-worth.

"The stage is my home, but at the core of it, I make music to give people something to believe in". Welcome to the noise inside my soul.

Boys will be Boys

Miera Confronts Australia’s Domestic Violence Crisis with Fierce New Anthem “Boys Will Be Boys”

Miera Drops Explosive Pop Punk Single “Nothing Left of Me” - A Relentless Battle Cry Against Self-Destruction

Adelaide, Australia – August 29, 2025 -- With stark vulnerability and fearless rage, Australian alt-pop punk artist Miera delivers her boldest release yet: “Boys Will Be Boys” — an explosive protest anthem for all the girls and women who have suffered at the hands of boys and men, and a haunting tribute to those who never made it out alive.

Beginning with a stripped-back acoustic guitar and a personal message before erupting into a powerful pop-punk chorus, Boys Will Be Boys merges raw storytelling with sonic defiance. The song is a rallying cry, blending Miera’s personal experience of assault and survival with harrowing real-life statistics to highlight a silent epidemic sweeping the country.

“This one’s for the girls who were touched without consent. For the women still living in fear. For the ones who never got to grow old. It’s for all of us,” says Miera.”

The second verse features a chilling layering of real Australian domestic violence statistics. From 2000 to 2022, 331 women were killed by men. In 2023 alone, another 58 lives were taken. Since January 2024 - April of 2025, 127 more women had lost their lives to gendered violence. Each number is paired with voices echoing victim ages and stories - deliberately overwhelming, painfully real.

“Why do we whisper when our stories scream?” she asks, over crashing guitars and rising rage.”

With piercing lines like “Every touch and every word was a theft of my peace” and a defiant final cry, “Boys will be boys? Seems fucked up if you ask me!”, the track calls time on dismissive language, societal indifference, and the deep cultural roots of violence against women.

“Boys Will Be Boys” drops August 29 on all major streaming platforms, marking the third single from Miera’s highly anticipated debut album Orphaned Parts - a body of work that transforms pain into power and silence into sound.
